Reader poll: What's the best free backup program?

Dear CNET members,

I always remind folks to back up their data, simply because stuff happens! I've read one too many forum posts from members saying I "should've," "could've," "would've" backed up my files, but of course they didn't. And if you think for one moment your data is invincible, please wake up.

If you haven't backed up your data or are looking for some good Windows utilities to automate or simplify your backup efforts, you should give CNET blogger Rick Broida's blog entry "Reader poll: What's the best free backup program" a read. He has some ideas on utilities you can use to easily back up your data, and best of all, the ones he recommends are free.

And if you're already doing backups, tell us if you're using one of Rick's recommended utilities. Maybe you have another one you are already using, so tell us why you recommend it. The more knowledge you share, the more options for us to choose from. Bottom line is for everyone to get their backup going now, and not later when it's too late. Thanks for your contributions to a good cause!

Cheers!
-Lee
