Soon you'll be able to text in the shower!

Dear CNET members,

How many times have you ruined your cell phone because you dropped it in the toilet or spilled liquid on it? I'm raising my hand. Well, I have some good news coming straight out of Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. Come later this year, you'll soon have the ability to protect your expensive mobile devices from liquids, according to a recent blog from CNET's Stephen Shankland: Have no fear later this year if your phone drops in the drink.

Where were these guys when my first iPhone took a swim in the bowl? I really can't wait for this to be available, like member nmwheele who commented, "Shut up and take my money already!" Some people have already mentioned that this could be applied to items from keyboards to laptops. Can you imagine the unlimited possibilities?

I know I'll definitely be a customer of this product and waterproof any gadgets my kids play with. I just hope they come with a DIY kit. How about you? Will you be a consumer of this new technology? Where do you see this being used most often? Do you see any potential flaws or other ways to use this technology? Check out the blog and chime in with your thoughts!

Cheers!
-Lee
