Who wants an iPad Mini? About one buyer in two
Dear CNET members,
If Apple took its current iPad, trimmed it down to 7 inches, put
a price tag of around $250 to $300 on it, and called it the Apple
iPad mini, would you buy it? There have been many rumors
floating around about the possibility of the release of a 7-inch
Apple iPad. And when shopping site PriceGrabber polled
people and asked if they would buy a 7-inch Apple iPad,
52 percent said yes. Wow, to me that's a pretty compelling
reason for Apple to release one, but that's just my non-business
mind thinking.
I don't know about you, but I probably wouldn't get one for our
family since I already own an iPad 2 and an Amazon Kindle Fire.
But at that price point, I would probably consider gifting one to other family
members if they didn't have a tablet yet. How about you, would you buy
a 7-inch iPad? If so, is the size or pricing the deal-maker for
you? Do you think it makes sense for Apple to come out with one? Or
do you think Apple will do just fine with what it has out now? If
Apple came out with this mini iPad, how do you think it would affect
the competition like the Amazon Kindle or the Barnes & Noble Nook? Many
CNET members have already commented on a recent blog by CNET
blogger Lance Whitney: "Who wants an iPad mini? About one buyer in
two." So read it and tell us what you think. We're all ears!
Cheers!
