Move over iPads and Android tablets, here's Microsoft Surface!

Dear CNET members,

Tired of hearing about Apple iPads or Android tablets? Well look out, here's Microsoft Surface! The new tablet on the block was just unveiled yesterday during a Microsoft press conference in Los Angeles. Microsoft's line of tablets will run the company's next- generation Windows 8 operating system and will sport a 10.6-inch touch screen that's wrapped in a magnesium case. And -- what's the coolest of all -- it will have a magnetically attached touch cover that not only serves to protect the surface of the tablet, but also folds down and functions as a full-touch keyboard! Now that's a bit different. And as much as I dig my iPad, I'm actually pretty excited for this Microsoft product. And I can't wait to get my hands on one to try out, but I'm going to have to wait until fall. For now, if you're curious and would like to see what the Microsoft Surface tablet has to offer, check out CNET's First Take. And when you're ready -- whether you love it, hate it, or have mixed feelings about this new Microsoft product -- we'd like to hear your opinion. More than 500 member comments have already been submitted on this already, so make sure you get in and have your say!

Cheers!
-Lee
