New Apple iPad Mini announced: What's your opinion?

Today, Apple had mini announcement day! And if you missed the CNET live blog -- no worries -- it's all right here in the recap. To break it down for you (including my 2 cents), here is what's new:

-- A new iMac(Lee: Cool, I like the sleek, thin design)
-- 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display (Lee: Nice and light, but pricey)
-- Mac Mini desktops (Lee: It's faster, but nothing exciting.)
-- iPad fourth-generation (Lee: What? Wasn't the third generation just released
six months ago? Glad I waited!)
-- iPad Mini (It's actually true! Price point a bit disappointing.)

Of all the things announced, I think the biggest anticipated product is the Apple iPad Mini. While rumors of it floated around for months, with speculations that the iPad Mini would be coming soon, it indeed came true and people are talking about it! Here is CNET's take on it.

Now that you've got a glimpse of what the Mini has to offer, what do you think? Are you excited to see it? Disappointed? How does it match up against Apple competitors in the arena of the same-size tablets: better or worse? What about that starting price point of $329? Is that the price you were expecting or is it too high or low? Your fellow members are speaking up to tell you how they feel about this new Apple product. Now it's up to you to share your 2 cents to let us know how you feel. Go at it, folks!

Apple iPad Mini
"Booo.... A5 processor and no retina display, it should have the up to date hardware with the A6 processor and retina display like the iPhone 5, iPad 3&4. I don't think Steve would of been happy with these decisions that Phil Schiller made, at least they announced a 13" MacBook Pro with retina, and the Mac mini desktop and the iPad 4 to make up for the fail of the iPad mini. The price starting at $329 is to high for what you get..."

"It's a very nice tablet, however as with much of the newly released hardware coming out these days it doesn't posses any compelling new features that make it stand out from anything else on the market including Apples other devices (LTE is nice). Dual core, quad core, thinner, lighter when is it going to end. Evidently the perfect device is is so thin it's transparent, so light it floats to the ceiling and possesses infinite cpu cores but still only does what every other device does right now"

"For some people that Mini is ideal, weight is a consideration. Resolution is not everything and Retina Display is only a big deal for some because they make it. For most applications Retina display does not or break it. Facebook isn't going to improve because of 'retina display' Twitter won't either. Web-browsing is not going to either. Weight though for some, especially those that need to hold the device for an extended time or use it to read books will see a difference since it is half the weight of the iPad."
