New HP laptop offers some compelling reasons to consider Windows 8

Dear CNET members,

Dear CNET members, When I read this blog post by CNET Blog Network author Brooke Crothers, "Three reasons a Windows 8 laptop leads, MacBook lags," I was pretty impressed by the newly announced HP EliteBook Revolve laptop's features: built-in 4G, a touch screen, and a docking station. Currently Apple doesn't offer these features in any of its current MacBook lineups. Maybe the company's next MacBooks will offer them, but HP kind of beat Apple to the punch.

While a docking station is nice to have, I like the fact that the Revolve has a touch screen (to me, touch screens are eventually going to be on all computing devices and they play nicely with Windows 8.) And 4G LTE built right in to the laptop, that just makes sense. I've been in a few situations where Wi-Fi just wasn't available and having the option of connecting to a wireless data source is a great backup plan. So what do you think of this newly announced laptop from HP?

Read up on Brook's blog, check out HP's announcement on its new laptops, and tell us what you think of the HP EliteBook Revolve. Would you buy it? Do you agree with Brook's assessments? Do these features make sense to you and would you use them? Do you think these features will eventually be adopted by all laptop manufacturers? And are these features compelling enough for you buy this HP over other laptop makes or brands? Let us know what's on your mind.
