Dear CNET Members, Ah, how I love to reminisce about the good old days when cell phones first became available. Remember back in the '80s when the dream cell phone weighed a whopping three pounds and had the dimension of a brick? Sounds more like a workout than a dream. Today, however, discussions pop up more about cellular carriers, especially with the recent mergers of Cingular and AT&T as well as Sprint and Nextel. While today's hot topic is about cell phone models, I wanted to kick it off with a question: Do you shop for a carrier before you even consider what phone to dream about? Discuss it here.
